Got a haircut today. I dont maintain one & get it cut every 2-3 months. And when I do, I go super short. I like it. And then it grows out & I do it all over again. Person I know has done this twice to me. Last haircut, they said, "Huh. Yeah I don't like it". I replied that I didnt ask them opinion nor did I care. And they said, "Well at least I'm being honest about it!". I then said, "Okay. Guess being an honest jerk is cool!" I'm not close to this person AT ALL. They dont have boundaries and think they can talk to anyone however they want. It's a clear sign of insecurities w/in themselves. So when today's haircut happened. Similar thing. First they say, "New haircut. Hmmm...interesting." I again replied, "Well, I didn't ask you". About 10 minutes later, a few friends and I were joking about actual bad haircuts we've had (because I had told them what jerky said) and I jokingly said to a CLOSE friend that their hair was the worst! Obviously joking, The friend laughed. Then the jerky person piped in. "This coming from someone w/ a jacked up haircut". The 3 of us actual friends were momentarily speechless and then I said firmly, "I DONT CARE WHAT YOU THINK. I DIDNT ASK YOUR OPINION AND I DONT CARE IF YOU LIKE IT. IT'S NOT FOR YOU." That seemed to make them back off and they literally walked away. My other 2 actual friends were like, 'WTF HOW RUDE". Seriously. What is wrong w/ some people? If you ever find yourself wanting to "be honest" w/ someone...check yourself before you wreck yourself. Being honest doesnt mean you have the license to be a dick. p.s. This is NOT me fishing for compliments. No one loves me more than me. :P #haircut #hairdid #dontcarewhatyouthink #notfishing #honestyisthebestpolicybutdontbeadickaboutit #orjustkeepyouropiniontoyourself
