I was simply doing a bit of research, and stumbled across an article that regarded the Anti-German Sentiment in America around the 1920s - of course, I’m not entirely sure of how accurate it is - but they began to rename a couple of things.
The thing I latched onto was the fact that Dachshunds were renamed ‘Liberty pups‘ and sauerkraut into ‘liberty cabbage.’
It made me chuckle a little.
Though, how historically accurate this is - I am unsure, so please do pick me up on it should I have gotten my facts wrong.
