So yeah, half-jokes aside, I’m doing this! It’s for Queer Covid Relief, which recognizes the overwhelming need for support within queer communities in the wake of the pandemic. It’s an offset of the Self Evident Truths Project, which offers a judgment-free direct giving model. In my inexpert opinion, it’s an empowering and effective means of charity, which was a big part of what sold me on contributing.
That, and very, very recently, my life has opened up even more space for writing than usual, so I wanted to give back something with both my intense/anxious creative energy and my acute awareness of my own relative luck in such a tough time for so many. Also... I love this fandom! I want to keep it alive!
That being said, here’s my listing and the Twitter account for the auction:
For a little more context about my turnaround: If the fic is closer to 10K, I can get it done fairly quickly (~3 weeks or so.) If it’s significantly more words than that and/or if the prompt plot is more involved, we’d probably have to have a chat about the schedule on a case-by-case basis since I do have two other WIPs going right now. To be frank, it could take a lot longer depending on certain factors. I’m excited and 10000% committed for any option though, so bring it on! But I wanted to set expectations. 💗
