not-a-duke:
"No you’re not a dwarf, or no you didn’t break into that mine shaft?"
A match struck in the darkness of the cells, and Vimes took a puff of his cigar. He resisted the urge to stamp his feet and find some warmth. It had been a long night, and it was only about to get longer. None of this made any sense.Unless Vimes managed to get a straight answer out of all this, he wasn’t getting home any time soon.
"Because listen lad, no matter which way you swing this, it’s not looking good for you."
"Do I look like a dwarf?" Caranthir growled, standing his full 7'6" in beardless, point-eared height and glaring with silver-fire eyes at the human who had dared to put him into this place. "And I did not break into anywhere! I don't even know where in the iron hells I am!"
The last thing he could remember was trying to find his way back to his guest chambers in Belegost, a little worse the wear for dwarven ale. He'd turned the wrong way, and somehow -- found himself here. Wherever here was.
