This semester I’ve been surrounded by girls who did not understand why I wouldn’t cheat on him while being here, as if being without certain pleasures for six months was impossible. I value what I have built with Connor in the last three years above anything and it has been exhausting being around people who don’t understand and make the choice to cheat instead of wait (and pressure me to do the same). I’ll go six months without just about anything if it means maintaining that love and trust.

The moral of the story is that I miss my support system back at home. You ladies are the absolute greatest and I love you and I’m so excited to be back with you in just a couple days. You mean the whole entire world to me.

1. Where did you grow up and how many times have you moved?

I grew up smack dab in the middle of Michigan & I think I've moved five or six times, within the same town.

2. Name one hidden talent/fact?

I'm really good at sewing, like I used to make my own clothes. Not many people know that because I don't do it very often anymore.

3. Describe your perfect date night?

Cuddles. Chinese food. Quality conversation. A good movie.

4. Your Patronus?

Probably a fox.

5. Saturday night, what are you doing?

Going out to dinner with my grandparents + Connor to celebrate the start of a new semester. Then tumblr + tea + Netflix.

6. Dream Job?

Ideally I want a job that will allow me to make a difference in the lives of those around me. & I want to travel and explore. I'm not sure what that will look like yet.

7. Sounds you most love in the world?

Turning pages of a book. Laughter. The tiny, precious meows that kittens make.

8. Describe your morning routine?

Wake up early. Go for a run. Spend time in the word. Drink lots of tea. Brush my teeth for about ten times as long as a normal person.

9. What traits are you most attracted to?

Joy. Genuine interest in other people. Kindness. Gentleness. Confidence. Sense of humor.

10. Are you cold right now?

Not in the least bit, Connor brought me some hot tea + Willa is cuddled up with me under a cozy blanket.

11. Are you drinking anything, and if so what?

Earl Grey, the usual.

Sometimes I have a really bad week and I have to remind myself that I am surrounded by people who love me no matter what I look/act like or what chaos I'm living with.

For example, one time while I was away from home fighting an excruciating battle with my demons, my beautiful + talented best friend Althea (notadetective) sang this song for hundreds of people and dedicated it to me. I still cry every time I watch this video.
