Today, while walking in the gotham park, I saw a "murder" - and by that, I mean crows. Ahh crows, what once was a nemesis is now my friend. To say they remind me of Arlen is an understatement, that decrepit town is nothing to me, and yet I have a strange longing for the past.

Not all was bad, mind you. I met a nice African American family there, and they took me in and raised me in ways Great Granny could not. Their son and daughter were my only friends, and they cared for me.

It was...nice.

I hope to write more letter in the future, as for now this is a farewell,

I changed the name in my bio to eilís, it’s the name I am now using online just to establish some clearer boundaries in my life. my actual name/the name I prefer to be called irl is the same as it’s always been and I don’t mind at all if you call me it—it’s my name and either one works, especially if we’re friends, I’m just changing it in the bio. thank you for understanding!

Around this time last year I saw Ruth Bader Gibsburg speak and it was such an amazing experience for me. I’m devistated to hear that now a year later she’s passed. She was such a smart and powerful woman, lawyer and Supreme Court Justice. She‘s an inspiration and although I’m also terrified about the new apointment as well, please remember to take some time to honor and appreciate her. She truly was deserving of her nickname the Notorious RBG.
