This is the second time that I’ve done a little reset before the holidays. I’m definitely an Abstainer (shout out to the @gretchenrubin fans!) which means it’s easier for me to say no to foods altogether than try to moderate. I started on October 30, which means I ate zero Halloween candy this year! 😮 (But must confess that I took a three-day break when I was at my sister’s house for Thanksgiving, during which I had a caramel brownie, a slice of apple pie, and the most amazing lemon cake ever.) Yay for December! Bring on the sweets and treats! Advance notice! I’m going to challenge myself from November 1st until Thanksgiving to eat no refined sugar. That’s my only goal, although I’ll also end up eating fewer carbs and bad fats since they so often go together.
