The aftermath. The return to Gaza
Complete destruction, including structures, water pipelines, no power, and still no food.
all i ever wanted was consistent lineage. I’m not too sure why i’ve always been so obsessed with this; I guess because I have never had it. I was sitting here thinking about the upcoming holiday (4th of july) and realizing that when I asked my mom what she’d like to do, she didn’t include my entire family (aunts, cousins, etc.). It’s just weird to me because growing up, it did. We did everything together and didn’t stay within our nuclear family alone. Nowadays she only wants to do things on her own, with Rick and us. I don’t like Rick, though. That’s not true, I don’t like being forced to spend time with someone that i have to get to know. It’s exhausting, unenjoyable. With my family, we know eachother. We know the flaws, uglies, funnies, etc. about one another and it’s nice. There’s comfort there.
I think that the reason my mom doesn’t like to maintain lineage is because she doesn’t like consistency. She wants to be alone with Rick because it’s new, he’s still interested in her, he doesn’t know all of her uglies yet and he won’t for about another year. There’s no dirt to talk about, there’s no past there. They’re new to each other and she likes that.
#NoStructure
Primo disegno sulla mia moleskine per questo 2018. Ho disegnato questo "The Punisher" direttamente con la brushpen e pennarello bianco senza avere una base a matita sotto. Questo è risultato, spero vi piaccia! #moleskineart #moleskine #firstsketch2018 #nostructure #onlychina #blacknwhite #sintetis #thepunisher #sketch #sketchoftheday #galleryart #comics #comicsart #comicsstyle #stralo #straloart #nevergiveup

That Love
She wanted to say goodbye.
She needed to say goodbye,
but she couldn’t let go.
Let go of that love
that rattled her bones
and left her speechless.
That love that moved her world
and made her feel
like the universe belonged to her.
She loved it when
he would look into her eyes
and called her beautiful,
and when he would
trace her figure with his fingers
giving her spine the chills.
But she had to let it all go,
All those feelings and emotions,
she had to give them up.
For his love for her was no more
and even though his love was
nonexistent
She knew hers would remain
until the end of time
She Knows Him
She talks of him like he is her secret that she wants broadcast to the world,
Like he is a secret that just can’t be kept.
Her eyes light up with joy and her heart swells with peace, she can feel him.
She can see him when he’s not there, he is always around.
She hopes to be like him one day, she knows he is good,
And even in her youth, she could never forget him.
Charcoal Sentences
You used to hide your soft face, your barely green eyes, behind long chestnut locks. I can remember the urge to reach and lightly push them away, exposing the face that held my heart. My hands would shake in my lap in resistance. My eyes would watch the gray in yours dance as you searched the rooms of empty faces for me. I could watch you for hours; head down, drawing, charcoal everywhere. A bomb could go off and you would never know, lost in the passion bleeding from your fingertips. I could sigh and you’d look up, completely aware of a slight change in me. I’ve never had someone so in tune, so caring. The first time you pulled your hair back my heart stopped and I wanted to cry. You looked at me so openly, with such happiness, and I could see the future. These words are pointless, just charcoal sentences. There is no conveying what I want for you, for us. I fear my actions will never come together; and I will let you down without you ever knowing. You are no longer, physically, the woman who made me work to be better. But, your soul is still in tune with mine. You are still aware. You are still the person I have loved for much longer than I’ve let you know. And I, I am still watching the gray in your eyes and they search for me, bringing light to mine in the moment of recognition.
