The client, a division of the Economic Development Queensland within the Queensland Government, as well as other varying stakeholders (such as residents, construction workers, business owners, tourists etc.) is looking to develop a creative precinct that consists of community programs, and also a recreational precinct, that follow the guidelines provided. The new establishments will need to be original and creative, and able to engage a diverse audience, as well as responding to ethical issues of sustainability, through repurposing materials. The success of the establishments will be marked by how much they increase general visitation to the Northshore site, as well as improving awareness of the brand, delivering a cultural connection, while creatively reflecting on the history of Northshore. The establishments should push Northshore to become a memorable site, providing an emotional involvement to the Northshore brand, allowing audiences to feel immersed within Northshore, and creating a creative, unique experience that will provide real benefits and value to the local, and broader, community.
