1. State your name:Â Laurie. Â You'll notice it's spelled the correct way too. Â
2. State the name that your parents almost named you:Â Sophie. Â I'm glad they didn't because I would need that name many years later for my dog. Â It was the perfect name for her. Â
3. Which of your relatives do you get along with the most? My younger sister. Â
5. Did anything embarrassing happen this week? I came to work with my top inside out, but that's so normal at this point I'm not even embarrassed by it anymore. Â
6. Do you miss your ex?  No, for the simple reason that I can't really think of anyone who warrants that status.  It takes me a long time to form deep emotional attachments to people, so for the most part, it's kind of like, "Whatever, bye, I guess."Â
7. White chocolate or dark chocolate? Dark.  Although white is outstanding in its place. Â
8. Do people praise you for your looks?  Only regarding my hair, which has a lot of natural curl in it. Â
9. What is your favorite color of clothing to wear? I don't really have one, I guess.  I look best in bright hues of dark colors, if that makes any sense. Â
10. How do you wear your makeup? Lightly. Â
11. What are some of your nicknames? My name is pretty much like a nickname.  My mom calls me Laur, and I have one friend who calls me Speedbump. Â
12. How many bedrooms are in your house? Three.
13. How many bathrooms? One and one/half. Â
14. Do you have a job? Yes, happily, I do.  I have worked in my current place of employment for going on 23 years. Â
15. Do you have a car? Yes.  It's Southern California, you kind of have to or you are rather screwed.  Contrary to popular myth, there is actually a pretty extensive public transportation system here, but the distances are so vast, that using it in any meaningful way is extremely time-consuming.  Â
16. Do you work out every week? As if. Â
18. Have you ever kissed someone you never saw again? Sure. Â
19. Have you ever sung in front of a crowd? Yes, at my elementary school graduation.  I sang the alto part and there was supposed to be someone singing soprano, but they didn't show up.  So I sang the alto part all by itself. Â
20. What kind of bathing suit do you wear? I don't like swimming although I'm decent at it.  Literally years go by without my having to swim, so I don't really have a bathing suit right now.  You should all be grateful for that, by the way. Â
21. Do you like your eyes? Sure.  They work, so I guess I kind of love them. Â
22. Do you think you are pretty? Â I'm nothing to write home about - somewhat pleasant if bland and not particularly noteworthy. Â I'm fine. Â
23. Who was the last person you talked to in person? My younger sister. Â
24. How much money is in your account? Enough, thankfully. Â
25. Are you single? And how. Â
26. Do you want kids? Â Never for a single nanosecond of my entire life have I ever wanted kids. Â I don't have a biological clock. Â Which is a good thing, because I'm 50 and the window is closing rapidly.Â
27. Tell me what your backpack looks like:Â I don't have a backpack. Â I used to. Â It was lavender. Â
28. What celebrity do you think is hot?  If I have to tell you at this point, there is no hope for you. Â
29. Last movie you saw in theaters:Â Pacific Rim. Â It was dopey, but I like the whole kaiju genre, so I thought it was fun. Â Idris Elba was great. Â He plays a guy named Stryker Pentecost, which tells you everything you really need to know about the flick. Â
30. Are you dating the same person you dated last year? I'm not currently dating anybody, so I guess that would be the same as last year so...yes? Â
31. Has someone you were dating ever cheated on you? I don't think so. Â
32. Have you ever cheated? No.  I don't swing that way. Â
33: Have you kissed someone whose name starts with a âJâ? No but I sure as hell am up for it, as anyone who reads this blog might be able to guess. Â
34: What do you like to do in your spare time? Write, read, play with the dog, surf the net, play games, crack wise, knit.  Typical stuff.
