Thorin had been waiting a few days, to be honest - you didn't want to ruin the tension, did you? He had also required some time to become sure of what he was doing - usually, he preferred loyalty to blackmailing, but then again, he was quite sure that this certain dwarf's loyalty was more than questionable, so he would have to take the risk.
