i only watched like, the first two episodes and i was kinda put off by it because it seemed like, 100% in your face kiddy manic humor and it didn't seem like it had any depth or anything interesting about it except some clever humor? is it kinda like SU where you just gotta get thru that stuff to get to the good part or what i really wanna get into it + get into the trans girl marco thing
yeeeeee it DEFINITELY takes a while before Star Vs really gets going, for sure. the humor in S2 is more or less the same flavor, but executed better, and thereâs a LOT more substance to back it up.
the nice thing about early Star Vs is that, if youâre the type who doesnât mind it, you skip quite a bit without missing anything super important!
actually, if i were to suggest an abridged list of S1 eps to watch, itâd be:
1: âStar Comes to Earth / Party with a Ponyâ (obvs)
2a: âMatchmakerâ (introduces Miss Skullnick)
6a: âMewbertyâ (introduces Glossaryck)
8: âBlood Moon Ball / Fortune Cookiesâ (introduces Tom and Toffee)
9:Â âFreeze Day / Royal Painâ (lots of character development)
10. âSt. Olgaâs School for Wayward Princessesâ (TRANS MARCO)
11a. âMewnipendance Dayâ (important character/plot stuff)
12b. âMarco Grows a Beardâ (important plot stuff at the end)
13. âStorm the Castleâ (important plot stuff)
that cuts the season down to about half the runtime without missing out on anything crucial. and then you can continue on watching S2 which is pretty much consistently better RIGHT out the door.
either way, i SUPER DUPER recommend the show! itâs evolved a lot for the better since it began, and pretty much everything that aired this month was fantastic. A+++ go for it friend :>
