Don’t EVER go to Nookies in Chicago (edgewater location) My friend ordered a burger and asked for no bacon in it and they put it so when she told them they insisted on removing the bacon instead of remaking it, so she decided not to go with the burger. And my fried chicken was under cooked so we kindly let them know. Here’s the worst part, the manager (Hector) comes up to us and says “if you don’t like the meat here, go cook at home.” And walked away. Instead of “is there anything I can do to make the service better?” As we were leaving we asked for the corporate number, and we told him there’s no reason to be rude, we just asked for no bacon because I don’t eat pork and he has the audacity to say “next time you’re at a restaurant, put on a shirt that says I don’t wear pork”. Also, a few months ago, one of my friends didn’t leave a tip and he told her “if you can’t afford to eat here, eat at McDonald’s” THIS IS UNBELIEVABLY RUDE AND DEGRADING CUSTOMER SERVICE. We were being nice instead of being bitches and complaining, and he was the one that was being rude to us instead of it being the other way around. Idk how the fuck he’s a manager, honestly. This is suppose to be a “professional” restaurant. I use to be a regular here and would sometimes get rude service but this went over the line. I hope this place gets shut down. This was unbelievable.
