A thing about Wulff Yularen vol II - Kind of
Oh my god guys.
I have never been reposted or commented this much. I absolutely love you all. And it have felt amazed about everything you have been saying about this. I never-ever-never believed that this would be something so many has opinion and been silently thinked about!
The attention the posting had got is something unexpected.
I have no idea how to do this properly and how to answer you all, so I wish this is not like grandparent writing into a Facebook groups wall: Thank you for taking me in.
@sirloozelite at moment I saw the snippet I actually remember that this happened!
Now I am just thinking what if the Jedi were just living in too much on their own bubble and nobody really liked them as an institution? Even the persons who worked with them?
Rafa and Trace were good example of it that Jedi had no real touching point into a lives of normal Coruscantians (is that even a word? now it is..).
Also Mando and Cara being completely clueless what Kids powers are and they have lived at times when there was Jedi Order and when the Jedi were. Now I am just thinking how could have the Galaxy forgot the Jedi so fast.
Anyway. You are right with it that he shares opinion with Tarkin. And we all know that Tarkin is not that nice, ruthless actually.
Yet he clearly thinks its right way to do things.
I have been thinking earlier that perhaps in Star Wars universe kids from early teens onwards were seen as adults.
Dunno is it really like that, but it would also explain why they are so harsh to Ahsoka.
@firelordderpy I have never actually think about it that Yularen might have had a family that could have been damaged. But it also makes me wonder why he had not then taken part to ‘silent resistance’ or trying to made sure his family was transferred to safety? He had 19 years time.
But as sirloozelite said in their repost, who knows what the situation really was with him.Â
And after all. Being silent is also a way of accepting it. So whatever it was, Wulff Yularen was not ready to die to defend the Jedi order.
@seainspace suggested that Yularen was just going with the flow and I actually myself think that that was quite likely. They after all had many other worries than Yularens personal opinions and he is pictured as a rather generic character who, even he disagrees with Anakin and others is after all always letting them to do as they want.
Yeah, I know it is the chain of command, but he is a professional soldier what Anakin most definetly is not in military mind. The Jedi were peace keepers, not leaders of thousands of men. A good leader knows when to listen they who he is leading.
@hannagoldworthy I so hope that he was a mole or insideman or something but can’t really think he was. They found Kallus in a year. Naturally he had not as high position than Yularen, but if there had been ever any suspection of his loyalties he would have been sent ... I don’t know where, but out of action or been replaced. You hardly were irreplacaple in eyes of Empire (or Emperor) and there was always new sprouts trying to find their way towards the sun even before the old tree had even fallen down completely.
There had also been speculation did they know who Darth Vader was. I have a hunch they did not.
And only reason he was not suffocating Yularen, Tarkin and other high officiers was because they out ranked him and Eperor probably did not like if his closest men were killed because of I dunno ... Dropping donut crumbles at Vaders shoes or making a brain fart?
I think that if there had been any kind of knowledge who Anakin had became it would have been used for propaganda good. IF they had wanted it to be known.
And if it had been common knowledge, it would have been leaked to the Resistance, who clearly was not knowing who Vader was for real. Or they just were not telling it to Luke because they too assumed that he knew?Â
Okay, maybe no.
I personally think that Anakin turning to Dark Side and starting to serve the Empire would have been a way too big blow for the Rebel Alliance too, so they who knew were probably not going to tell it to anybody.
But anyway there is so much to think and now my brains hurt. Thank you all so much! I am so glad you contributed to this matter.
Here! Take this! Wulff Yularen in action!
