thank you so much for the question! sorry if this is a late reply, i completely forgot i’d scheduled this! 1. Tell us about your current project(s)  – what’s it about, how’s progress, what do you love most about it? 

my current project is for tomorrow i might die, my post-s12 reunion fic i’m writing from yaz’s perspective. it’s one of the many reunion fics out there, but i wanted to test myself and put my own spin on it, mostly because i’ve been intrigued by her development in s12 re: her confidence. i’ve been wondering - how far will it go, especially with the doctor’s disappearance being a factor? i think she’s capable of falling into recklessness - but how can she come back from it? how does yasmin khan grieve? progress for the first two chapters was great - quick, smooth, and it all tumbled out. however, between chapter two and chapter three (the final chapter), my life changed quite dramatically and i’ve been struggling to get myself in the right mindset since then. luckily i had a bit of a breakthrough a couple days back and it seems like i’ve found my voice for it again. the writing style is quite particular: a lot of paragraphing, a hell of a lot of introspection, and a significant dearth of descriptive narration.  i need it to be perfect for the fic to work. i really love this fic and i want to give it the attention and the writing it deserves.

i think i love the writing style most, as described above. i like playing about a bit with how i write, and this has taken a bit more effort but the effect has been worth it.  it’s rooted in dialogue and action, and the spaces in between. the sparsity and the sudden intensity complement where yaz is right now in her life, i think. also, i love my oc, kya, so much. i just want to be his friend. he’s a doctor-ish character without the mystery and grandeur of the doctor’s backstory, even with the backstory i’m revealing in chapter three. he has a very particular way of looking at the world because he’s so emotionally intuitive - it gives him a mature innocence, a freedom - and in all honesty it makes me want to be like him.

5) i guess i love that i have blue eyes, pale / porcelain skin , my slim / petite figure & the fact my hair is naturally wavy / curly
