The Treeangle isn't just a Tree. It's in fact a three headed deity linked to life itself that now lives within the tree. It can create anything it wants. In fact, the first shapes in paradise were created by the Tree in hopes of creating life forms. And after these shapes were "born", the Tree created four shapes who would protect it, and that would be Sheba, Cube, Hethagon and Rubi, however they are not the same characters I introduced, since, much like Cyan's memories were restarted, the guardians have also gone through that process multiple times, in fact, they were already spawned by the Tree as adults, that doesn't mean they didn't have childhoods, they did, but that was while they were residing in the Divine Domain, incubating and developing, so the Tree removed their memories of that time, spawning them in as full adults. Now why were their memories erased, you may ask, and to that, the answer is: when they were first spawned in, the Tree made them more powerful than other shapes, so that they would do a better job at protecting it, essentially, they were also more tanky and battle ready, however, the Tree noticed that after years of having this same discipline, they had a chance of becoming more hostile as well, so the Tree redid all that had been done, reducing the guardians' tankiness and restarting their memories, and every time an old generation of shapes would eventually die, they would restart the guardians, so stories told from the eldest shapes, don't match how the guardians are nowadays. With the heroes, it's a different story. The Tree spawned the guardians as full adults because they were how the Tree initially thought over how a protector should be, someone serious and capable, but with the heroes, after years of having just the guardians, the Tree wanted to show improvement by doing the complete opposite: shapes with child-like wonder who would wish for the greater good of Paradise and solve problems the way a child would, something that seemed easy in the eyes of the children, but complex and incomprehensible to adults; All four heroes were incubated at once, but their process of growth was different to one another, thus the fact they were summoned in different times (also, Gold (she/her) would represent a more responsible and mature child, Fern (she/they) would represent a whimsical and chaotic child, Soltrin (he/they) would represent a more action-oriented child, and Cyan (he/him) would represent leadership and curiosity in general).

Extra little thingy: the shape within the tree has an actual name, but nobody knows it, not even the guardians, and they're also married to Sunny (who is a celestial). So the Treeangle is basically a god hidden in plain sight.

Cubic: They can be extremely grumpy sometimes, but they're not humorless, telling them any kind of joke can trigger a good reaction if you put some real effort into it. They have kind of a green thumb, so much so, that when possible, they'll still go outside of Blixer's tower to take care of plants and make sure they don't die from the corruption. They find Cube's softness to be unreasonable, Rubi's whimsy to be nonsensical, and Hethagon to be really dense regarding her crush on Cube, the only guardian they don't have any strong opinions towards is Sheba, because she's relatively normal and responsible, unlike the others. Even though they think Hethagon is dense, they still prefer her over Hexatrix's obsessive personality.

Hexatrix: Hexa is extremely obsessive, twisting Hethagon's crush on Cube into obsession, which is what drives her to chase them down and corrupt them into Cubic. Blixer finds this obsession funny, so he always sets her on the same missions as Cubic, but not entirely on malicious intent, more so because Hexatrix does better on missions when Cubic is involved, after all, they are the one corrupt she does literally everything for, so they serve as motivation for her to do better, and it works (Hexa and Cubic have a Pucca & Garu sort of relationship, except Cubic doesn't avoid her like a plague, and she's not trying to kiss them). She is still best friends with Rubix! So much so, that when they battle together, they support each other! (Which is pretty big considering that if Cubic is involved, she'll charge in all by herself).

Rubix: If her vuvuzela wasn't enough of a nuisance before, now it's even worse! Unlike Rubi, however, she doesn't use it outside of battle. Her and Hexa are still great friends, just like their uncorrupt selves, she's also probably the only other person that Hexa works really well with, aside from Cubic. Sometimes, Rubix pulls Hexa along with her into missions, only letting Blixer know about it once they're already doing their jobs. Rubix is still a loyal best friend, just- less whimsical and more... rebellious, I suppose.

Sheba doesn't have a corrupted version, but if she did, she'd probably be either: very diligent, cold and calculated, or, to contrast her uncorrupt self's personality, more lazy and careless.

But in general, none of them are heartless, they're just doing what they're told.
