Hinata looked like heâd just asked her to defuse a bomb. Sasuke waited as patiently as they could; they really did want Hinataâs opinion. It was just that Hinataâs opinion took YEARS.
Worrying her bottom lip, she indicated to the blue one, with itâs nice matte fabric and gold buttons. Sasuke liked it because it had three-quarter sleeves and the skirt gave their hips a bit of definition. âHold that one up again?â She asked, and Sasuke barely refrained from sighing as they did so, holding the blue dress up to their person.
She leaned forward, narrowing her eyes in thought. Sasuke just stood there. They thought maybe their calf was cramping up. â... And now the red?â Sasuke held the blue one away from them, and lifted the red dress under their chin. It was a slimmer, shorter fit, and Sasuke liked how the turtleneck collar didnât bunch up, and it showed off their shoulders.
Hinata stared a while, sighed, and slumped. âI donât know!â
Sasuke dropped their hands loosely to their sides, despairing. âWould you please just pick one?!â
Hinata pressed her face to her hands. âI canât you look so cute in both of them!â Sasuke scowled, tossed their head, and grimaced off to the side. âYou see?! Itâs too cute please donât do that.â
Sasuke, emphasizing outrage to cover whatever softer feelings a statement like that gave them, draped the blue dress over her head and strode off to try on the red. âNext time, Iâm taking Sakura,â He muttered, and refused to admit they might be more flattered than frustrated.
Underneath the flowing skirt of the blue dress, Hinata giggled.
