hey let nonbinary people define their own sexualities because chances are we know how our genders navigate our sexualities better than some strangers on the internet and colonialist impositions of gender binaries made it so we have little language for our own kinds of love and sex so we have to work with what language currently exists.
there is space for nonbinary people in all sexualities.
this goes doubly for nonbinary people of colour and indigenous people as binarism is so often a direct result of racist colonialism and violent erasure of genders that have existed and continue to exist but without words in euro-western colonial languages for them
#there are nonbinary lesbians like myself#nonbinary gays#nonbinary bisexuals#ect ect ect#trust me it took me nearly 24 years to figure out how my gender and sexuality interact with each other#some person whos known me for a few weeks#or some stranger on the internet#does not understand my gender or my sexuality better than me#and that goes for all nonbinary people#and often the words that existed in other languages were wiped out as well as part of colonialism
