She looked at the strange being something about him have her the feelings he should be wary of him perhaps that was the design of this game she considered.

“Oh- you know I’m a player… well I’ve only been here for a few minutes, although I’m not a normal player” she added hestiatntky unsure if revealing this infomation was a good idea.

“Eh- I was mind uploaded, so I’m not really human anymore, what are you? Some sort of sentient ai?” She asked

“I’m Slice or Omni as most people call me.

“Mind upload, huh? I’ll be sure to ask you about it later. My name is... Mourgarth. And you could say that I’m an AI that got self-aware after some... hm-hm... trials and tribulations”.

He smiled as he introduced himself and then at the memories of the past. It was almost laughable how weak and unaware he was back then.

“Now, the fact that you’re not entirely a human explains why you have no gear. Isn’t that right, Buckwheat?”, the creature looked around, as if looking for the person he referred to, but nobody answered.

The woman’s voiced echoed in the huge round and dark chamber that she found herself in. Blue light was coming from above, yet it didn’t cover everything inside. The chamber was filled with wires of various width that were tangled up around like a spider web. Then, only a moment later, some of the thin wires on the floor flinched.

A tall figure of a four-armed creature was lowering down on a column made of, you guessed it, wires. His face was barely visible in the shadows.
