“I know the feeling,” Theo groaned, cradling his head in his hands where he sat slouched over the table, slowly sliding further down until his forehead touched the table and his hands rested on the back of his head. “That and a meal,” the Nord mumbled.

“Are you sure? There is a civil war breaking the province apart, and dragons are roaming the skies. Now, to me, that sounds like the end of the world.”

“If you came to purchase something, then you will have towait.”

“You touched me,” she replied simply, trying very hard to hide her discomfort. He had only placed a hand on her shoulder, which was not overly intimate of course, but still not welcome. Halldis took a step back, putting some space between them, and continued, “Please don’t do that again.” 

“Cole is so cheerful and sweet,” Halldis grinned, “He’s a bit...childish in a way? I don’t mean that badly though, I rather like that quality in people...it’s endearing, and sort of refreshing I think.”

“Oh yes, there’s always room,” Halldis replied. It seemed they had picked far more flowers than was really needed for a simple lesson in making flower crowns, but she was determined not to let any of them go to waste. As she worked a blue mountain flower in behind a sprig of lavender, she looked up at Cole and smiled, “I’ll get them all in, you’ll see.”

“Oh, it is? Why? Is something happening to your shop?”
