Project Reflection
Moving forward, there are certainly a couple of obstacles in my way before I can produce a successful final presentation. I think the most obvious one at this point is going to be whether or not I remain using Camtasia as opposed to iMovie. While I have had success with Camtasia in the past, during my most recent involvement with the software for the project proposal video, I struggled to make everything run as smoothly as I would've hoped. Perhaps I may attempt to revise it in the upcoming weeks. Furthermore, I believe it will be very important to keep track of the pictures/videos that will appear in my video. Sometimes it is easy to find that perfect picture online and then forget where you had first discovered it. I surely do not wish to take credit for other peoples’ work so this will be a very important task. Finally, I think the biggest component of this project for myself will be sticking to my proposed schedule and truly utilizing our workshops. I don't want to save a lot of work for the last minute but instead stick to my calendar and create a successful project without stressing myself out.

Project Reflection
1) The first idea (and hopefully the idea that I will be following through with) for my final project is to explore the digital music industry in hopes of understanding how MTV, who, during the breakthrough of the digital era, failed to maintain their prominent role in the music industry, and allowed digital competitors to swoop in and steal many of their listeners. Furthermore, I would also like to explore how Spotify has been able to rise to the top of the music streaming industry and what decisions and methods were taken in order to do so. I’ve always been into music and very up to date with how I approach my listening, but I am even more interested to understand how and why these musical powerhouses have reached their current positions.
2) For my second idea, I would like to explore how the digital era has affected our youth. Specifically, children in middle school and their success in the classroom as well as their social upbringing. Having a little brother, its been interesting to see him snap chatting his other 14 year old friends instead of texting them over the past year and a half, and I would like to understand how the handheld electronics medium has affected these kids on a broader spectrum.
