Exactly! I mainly cried at the end for Hibino Mizauki; she suffered so much and deserved the happiness of creating a family with Ryuuzaki Ikuo (in this au, Danno Tastuya would be brought out for domestic outings and happiness)!
i think that’s the reason why i’m so sad. it’s because you see this glimmer of the potential of their relationship and then THAT happens. god yes. like they form the happy family that they both didn’t have in their lives and mizuki would totally eventually rise in ranks and take the position her father had. part of me would want danno to stay with the yakuza, maybe take over as they had pictured for him too because even in the smallest ways, he did care about them sorta.
but yes publicly danno and mizuki would totally be butting heads but like on the down low, he’s a great uncle to mizuki and ikuo’s kids.
I just finished watching Ouroboros and that was such a beautiful but bittersweet ending!
right? i felt more pain than anything though. i was hoping for it to end slightly happy, but the show gave us that and i’m still so sad

hmmm...depends on what you’re in the mood for though the only two genres i really dabble in is crime or romance it seems
crime dramas
ouroboros
ishi no mayu (this is relatively short only like 5 episodes but it’s soooo good)
strawberry night (this one and the one above are either directed or written by the same person and both are pretty graphic in violence/deaths as a warning)
n no tame ni (i’m currently watching this and it’s by far my favorite)
karamazov no kyoudai (the pacing for this show is pretty slow but it’s very good)
romance dramas
nodame cantabile (this one kind of started it all for me. it sucked me in after i watched the anime and i wanted more)
love shuffle
gomen ne seishun
dakishimetai (this is a movie btw. be absolutely prepared with a box of tissues for this one. it’s so incredibly sad. i watched it on my birthday which was a huge mistake)
rich man, poor woman (think if the social network became a soap)
i haven’t watched much. this list here is probably 95% of all the dramas i’ve watched so far. i could list the other shows i’ve watched, but i wouldn’t necessarily recommend them (they’re good but they have some flaws that irk me). i definitely have more on my to watch list that’s for sure.
