I feel like if he did play dnd he'd have to be the DM, while i think you can experience "magic" through any role in dnd, i think being able to build up those story moments that connect or shock people, make those magical moments. this requires me to think about him having a friend group that plays dnd with him tho... thats alot to think about we never really seen him have that. BUT yeah i think if he played dnd hed be the DM, he will probably let you get away with alot tho i have a feeling he doesnt like the math aspect of the character sheets and is more into the roleplay/character developement aspect.
maybe you two can crowd over a calculator and dnd forums together to try and make a well rounded character LMAO
