For anyone who sought to give her a moment of comfort, it was lost on her. For all that people mentioned of understanding, that they knew she was going through hard times, it was difficult believing any of their sentiments even if their hearts were in the right place. Because what did they know? Really. The fact of the matter remained. Their apologies wouldnât give her son back, nor her husband. Their understanding wouldnât keep her family safe long enough for her to see them just one more time.Â
Perhaps thatâs why she took such a [ fondness ] for Kurt-- the blue mutant. He was an outcast-- and reminded her so much of Rhaego: the son she would never see. She had mentioned before that the [ dragons ] would be the only children she will ever have-- but Kurt had activated her motherly instincts.Â
So when she saw him crying-- it tore her apart. Daenerys cupped his cheeks in her hands, staring at those bright eyes with concern writ in her own. âWhat happened? Kurt, are you alright?â
