“You know... that smell in here isn’t me. It’s fermenting beans, my manger decided it would be a great idea to do that shit on my shift. He’s gone, left me to deal with it all day. He’s officially a dick.” 

red hair splayed out behind her, the bright eyed girl ( seemingly impervious to the brisk january air ) laid on a concrete park bench  —— her sweatshirt shed in favor of using it to support her head, green hues flicking over the distant stars. this was, frankly, a low point for stevie ; a soft soul extroverted in the best of ways, she felt strangely alone in that moment, but she couldn’t say she didn’t enjoy the view. her wandering thoughts were interrupted when she felt the other’s presence. stevie didn’t bother to push herself up ( or even do so much as tilt her head, yet. she was far to involved in the possibilities and shadows of the stars ) . instead, she spoke to sky above her, playing absent-mindedly with a piece of her loose hair  ——  ‘ how far do you think you have to drive to see them for real, without the neon and the smoke ? ’
