Red was so caught up in her own strife, that for a moment, she’d forgotten just how worried everyone else here must have been about their situation. She knew that she had to give herself a break, however; she couldn’t find an answer for why she was here, why she was pulled away from her town and her lover, and the lack of reason was more than enough to wrack her entire body with fear.
But she wasn’t the only one. It wasn’t just her that was scared, or lonely; maybe instead of asking everyone why this was happening.. she should have been making sure they were hanging in there, as well as they could be.
So when she spots the young girl, the singer is more than willing to reach out to her; and for the first time in what feels like days, she can feel a smile tugging at the corners of her mouth.
“You didn’t come here alone, did you?” Red’s quick to notice the dog at her side, and it comforts her only slightly that she has a companion in this strange place; but no child should have been going through this, no matter what sort of strength they held beyond what she could see. “I’m glad, though.. I wish none of us had to be here.” Her arms circle around her frame, doing what she can to push through the sadness that keeps tearing at her heart. “My name’s Red. I’m not sure what I can do, but.. if you need anything, I’ve got your back. At this point, it looks like all we have here are each other.”
