The nation of Fora is ruled by a matriarchal monarchy within the Nobelle branch of government.Â
The leader of said monarchy is the reina, though âqueenâ works just as well. The current leader of Fora is Reina Felicity Belrose.Â
Next in line to the throne would be the reine. This position is the rough equivalent of a princess- she is the second-in-command in the nationâs leadership and the heir to the throne. The reine is typically the next eldest woman in the royal family or the wife of the queen. (As a side note, it is generally frowned upon for such high-ranking individuals to be in homosexual partnership, though it is not illegal, and since the founding of the Nobelle branch no reina has ever openly admitted to being in such a relationship.) Reina Felicity does not currently have a reine under her- she is an only child, unmarried, and has no heirs of her own.Â
The reinaâs husband, brothers, and sons are all considered rois (singular: roi), a symbolic royal title that holds no real power or political sway. They are capable of producing heirs- any woman they marry or sire would be considered eligible for the throne, but they themselves are not eligible.Â
