A delicious no-bake treat, chocolate sausages combine the crunch of biscuits and nuts with the richness of milk and dark chocolate. They are ideal for sating your cravings for chocolate because they are sweet and slightly nutty.
Ingredients: 200g dark chocolate. 100g milk chocolate. 150g crushed biscuits. 100g chopped nuts e.g., almonds or hazelnuts. 50g unsalted butter. 2 tablespoons honey. 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract. A pinch of salt. Powdered sugar optional, for dusting.
Instructions: Melt the dark and milk chocolate in a heatproof bowl over a pot of simmering water or in the microwave, stirring until smooth. In a separate bowl, combine the crushed biscuits and chopped nuts. Add the melted chocolate to the biscuit-nut mixture, followed by the unsalted butter, honey, vanilla extract, and a pinch of salt. Mix well until everything is thoroughly combined. Lay out a sheet of plastic wrap and transfer the chocolate mixture onto it. Shape the mixture into a log, resembling sausages. Wrap the plastic wrap around the chocolate sausages and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, or until they become firm. Once the chocolate sausages are set, remove them from the fridge, unwrap them, and optionally dust with powdered sugar. Slice the chocolate sausages into rounds and serve. Enjoy!
