rutherford had his motorcycle first and when lee got his, rutherford taught him how to ride it (they go riding on back roads so they can go fast™) (and makeout w/o anyone seeing) (and look at the stars and talk abt aliens)
oh but they have clashing music styles--lee has his fussy music and rutherford has rap so it Does Not Mix and the few times that they drive in cars together they fight over the aux (back before the audiojack got killed.... good times)
