Eh, Low Hype
I'm not gonna lie. Between the overall enshittification of the world, increased work hours on Mondays, and the Seth-shaped hole in the men's roster, wrestling has been kinda hard for me to watch lately. I sorta keep up on tumblr, but I've been binge-watching Ghosts TV (US ver) and Star Trek: TOS to pass the time rather than wrestling. I don't even go on YouTube as often as I used to.
My chronically exhausted mind is side-eying Monday Night RAW on Netflix, interpreting it more as work than play now, and that's no good. I find I only watch when my SO does, which is little. He's already watched by the time I get home, so he tells me what happens, and that's that.
I'm still driven to write fic for now, since I my main genres are romance/Yaoi and AU, and the stable on which I hyperfixate has been defunct for over a decade. The room to bullshit things into fruition is vast for me, but watching has been a drag lately, and I don't know what to do about that.
This sucks, because I am so proud of the ladies and I'm rooting for them. I really think the women's roster is 2025's main roster. That was true even with Seth, but without Seth, the men are a hopeless mess. I just don't even care. This is a world of difference from where my mind was two years ago.
Many of you have been watching wrestling longer than I have. Any suggestions? Or do my feelings actually make sense?
