Bubba Loo's pen clatters onto his desk as his wide blue eyes dart up to catch eyes with his mate. Marshall Lee stares back silently, mouth drawn into a firm line and eyes wary. The question what is on Gumball's tongue; but it doesn't fall. Instead, the Candy Prince laces his fingers together and maintains eye contact for as long as he can.

This is very long.

“I'm a little busy, Lee.” Gumball watches his partner's lips thin farther and debates changing his mind. If he does, he'll get in trouble—not just with his maid, Peppermint, but also with his people—as there are just too many things he still has to do. Too many things he has to attend to.

“I need you.”

(… Perhaps these things can wait... just a little bit...) The thought flutters through his mind and clogs his reasoning; but he powers through it. He stares contemplatively at his love, instead. Beyond the wary eyes and pursed lips, Marshall Lee is trembling: his hands hold a tremor while his shoulders shake subtly; it is as though he is trying to withhold something.

Bubba Loo sighs; he should attend to his mate, too.

Standing to his full height of six feet, the pink-themed royal steps away from his desk and towards the Vampire King. He doesn't hesitate once he reaches the other: long arms wrap around Marshall Lee's waist and a chin tucks a shaking shoulder under it to help stay it; chests press against each other through layers of clothes and a temple meets another as the demonic-vampire leans almost desperately into the prince's touch.

They breathe.

As the Vampire King slowly relaxes, Bubba Loo wonders what caused this. Normally Marshall Lee only gets like this when he's in heat; and neither one—demon or vampire—should be happening this month. (Perhaps he's just... horny?) That is a thing, after all; even if, usually, Gumball wants to do it more than Marshall does.

What; he's a really loving guy, okay?

But, as the dark-themed royal nuzzles gently into the soft spot just beneath Gumball's ear, Bubba Loo realizes this has nothing to do with sex. Touch me. That was what the older male had said. Humming quietly to himself, the pink prince nods at his realization and draws his mate even closer. He sways his hips, and thus Lee's as well, until they are slow dancing in the center of his office.

Impromptu romantic things always solve this particular Weird Lee Mood.

Remembering the actual request, Bubba Loo guides his pink fingers underneath his partner's signature red flannel and onto the teal-tinged skin hiding below it. Marshall Lee shivers for a whole new reason and purrs against a bubblegum neck as his sides and stomach are tenderly played with.

They keep dancing.

Gumball hums to the steady beat of Marshall's purrs and, together, their voices create a song for them to work with. Teal hands glide up to pink-clad shoulders and the Vampire King uses his sudden grip on them to draw them even closer together. That's all he does, though, other than purring and dancing; and this is how Bubba Loo realizes what is happening.

He chuckles, “You really love me, don't you?”
