#nmtd #beadick #nothing much to do #lolilo #nmtdedit #benedick hobbes #beatrice duke #smallvoids #galwithalibrarycard #What is this let me explain #because artistic expression isn't meant to stand on it's own it's meant to be spoonfed to its audience #rewatching lolilo one crucial thing occurred to me #bea and ben have done this already #they've already gone through relationship messes like these #and like god i kinda wish tcw would've leaned into that tragedy instead of glossing it over #and just having ben be an ambiguously shitty boyfriend #like legitimately lean into the idea that #they are both such strong personalities they're not gonna have an undramatic relationship #they're both stubborn and that's okay but lean into that #lean into the drama and tragedy and feelings of that #tcw did it in such a cheap way imo and i just wish we'd gotten more out of this plotline cus i genuinly think it could've been done so well #if we just acknowledge that they're a little bit tragic if they dont work hard at their relationship #and that so it becomes this cyclical thing like #here we go again #im saying all this also being very much Beadick Endgame Enthusiats #can't spell enthusiast but....#i just think if tcw had picked up on this narrative parallels between beadick and made them more apparent in lolilo #it could've been made a cooler plotline #but also show how differently they handle crisis and discourse as they mature #mine
