Everyone at Odin's Halls knows this story, but this picture makes me want to share it with everyone. Over the last 5 years, I've tried on a lot of different teams, a lot of different gyms, hell, I was offered black belts a handful of times. And none of that felt right. That's why I created Odin's Halls. All that time, I was looking to create not only a team, but a family like I had back home with these guys right here. Finally getting a black belt feels great! But getting it from Jay Hayes, with all these guys who helped me build my game there to see it, means infinitely more than it could have meant anywhere else. Jiu Jitsu, just like life, is hard.
