Like, Nishihiro is used to guiding and teaching his baby sister things, and he's really smart so I'm sure he's tutored at least someone before. But at practice he's a complete newbie at baseball, so he very much stays quiet most of the time and listens intently to the more seasoned players.

And then you have Oki, who's the youngest in his family and pretty timid, who's in the same class as Nishihiro. So now I'm imagining them both walking to their first high school practice, Nishihiro asking him how long he's played and was it fun in middle school and what position he likes and Oki is like, not at all used to people asking him for opinions and advice on anything? But he does the best he can explaining the rules of the game and giving him pointers and it's kind of cool to have a friend that thinks he's an expert on something.

The problem with being a fairy, Oki thinks, is that there’s not enough room in his body to feel all the things he knows he ought, and his nature inclines him to always feeling the gentler of his emotions.  

Which is why the child he sees, crying and alone in the woods, fills him with the strongest feelings of sympathy from the crown of his head, to the tips of his toes, and regardless of how frowned-upon is has come to be to interact with human children, he goes to sit on the child’s shoulder and sing to him.  

Okay okay so I wrote about it once but I definitely think they make up reading games where they'll just pick a genre, a cliche, and then do Something every time it comes up.  So like they'll kiss whenever a shonen protagonist shouts the pointless title of their attack and stuff like that just to have an excuse to make out a lot.  Once it occurs to them that the noise from an anime can conceal the noises they make, they switch story-telling mediums :D 

I also think that, since it's kind of obvious the Nishihiro household is filled with manga enthusiasts, there's probably a cosplay closet somewhere around and Nishihiro and Oki like to sort of play around with the costumes.  Bigender!Oki goes for feminine cosplays on girly days and is in awe of the family's wig collection.

During the first training camp ~experienced baseball player Oki~ taught Nishihiro the proper ways to hold the bat and position his feet and even though Oki doesn't do anything out of the ordinary, it feels bizarrely intimate and they are just so aware of each other.  Literally everything feels like flirting but they don't??? realize that's what it feels like they just know that being together feels really nice and happy and warm and fuzzy.
