What are Niraen's feeling towards Summerset? Does she only think highly of it, or is it more complicated? How did she react to Queen Ayrenn opening the borders?
okay so all of her feelings here are pre-expansion and may well change when Summerset arrives depending on how things go down >:)
Niraen is very fond of Summerset. She was actually born in Shimmerene before her family moved to Phaer when she was still very young. Namely after her uncle, High Kinlord Rilis XII passed. Her father didn’t want anything to do with the Rilis family name after he ran away and certainly didn’t want his brother to know about Niraen’s existence because she could be a potential threat to him and his heirs.
She has returned since, prior to the war, during her travels to train to become a Templar and found the city much as she remembered it, so the fond feelings remained. She’s not really had much reason to think otherwise.
As for Ayrenn opening the borders, she’s optimistic. A little cautious about the types of people who will try to take advantage of Summerset’s open boarders, but optimistic that it’s a step in the right direction for the altmer. If the Dominion is going to win the war, then they need to be more involved with the people of Tamriel. They can’t keep themselves shut away in their little corner of the world forever and expect people to trust Ayrenn as their ruler.
What is Niraen's biggest regret?
Niraen’s got a lot of regrets, but one of her biggest is what she would have done with Veya at the end of the Balmora questline. Her choice would have been to kill Veya (which definitely surprised Maggie and Cass because they always knew her as the merciful one), largely because of what happened with Kyriel.
Niraen left her sister to die, and in order to survive, Kyriel turned herself into a vampire and became fixated on getting revenge on her sister and the rest of the world. Niraen was worried that Veya would be another Kyriel - if she was allowed to live, she would simply keep trying to destroy House Redoran in order to get revenge for her brother.Â
When she was proven wrong and Veya decided to take Maggie’s offer to be trained as an agent to Emeric, Niraen felt a huge amount of regret for wanting to kill her. It reminded her that sometimes a second chance is what sets people on the right path.
What does Val think of the Blades?
Well she ended up hating Delphine after being ordered to kill Paarthurnax (big surprised), but as for the organisation itself, prior to the Dragon Crisis she had no real opinion. They were a name in a history book the she didn’t really care to read.
When the Blades reformed under her, she leaves Niraen, Soran, and Esbern to run things in a joint leadership. They’re an effective group, and maybe one of the only ones who could one day stand up to the Thalmor. She’s not made much use of them yet considering they’re nowhere near ready to face the Dominion, but keeps up on what they’re up to and how things are going on their end.
But yeah, she doesn’t have any real strong feelings about them in general.
Whom did Niraen chose to take with her into the Halls of Torment and why?
She chose to take Lyris, largely because she didn’t trust Tharn in the slightest. Lyris is a friend, and even though Niraen was still somewhat upset over the truth about Varen’s identity being kept from her, she still trusts Lyris to watch her back.
Tharn… well let’s just say that Niraen would rather put her trust in that runty atronauch she was forced to summon.

What do your TES OCs think about children?
Sanera doesn’t care for them in the slightest. They’re annoying, noisy, messy and they get in the way a lot… she loves Breaks-Many-Chains tho But in general, Sanera doesn’t like kids and doesn’t want to have any. Ever.
Maggie doesn’t really really much care either way, though she cared enough about Desmond to at least try and give him a shot at a decent life by having Emeric be his guardian. But when Desmond showed up in Abah’s Landing as a sixteen year old who wants to follow in his mother’s footsteps, she calls dibs on training him and loves him like a son. She’s not big on little kids, but older kids she can deal with she finds.
Niraen doesn’t mind children. In fact sometimes they’re the bravest and wisest of any of us. And sometimes they run off to join murder cults because they’re petty af. She never had any children in the end (adoptive ofc) mostly because she just couldn’t really see herself as a mother. She and Gathwen were just too dedicated to their work.
Ash and Julan have a couple of children, and generally Ash finds she does enjoy the rewards of being a parent enough to make up for the hardships of it. Yes kids can be a pain in the arse sometimes, but she decides that they’re worth that in her book.
Aerrun doesn’t have much of an opinion beyond that she shouldn’t be raising any because she’s so sure she’d fuck them up. Children may be annoying sometimes, but they’ve never done anything to deserve that.
Valkari likes some kids and hates others (aka Balgruuf’s kids), she doesn’t like them when they’re snotty stuck up entitled shits. Like, at all. But she has a soft spot for more disadvantaged and vulnerable kids because she was one of them once, she’s been there. Whether it’s some food or a few coins or a blanket, she usually comes up with something to give them a lending hand here and there.
Raz + Niraen?
“vs.” for who I think would win a fight
Niraen is a giant sword wielding lesbian who punched out a Daedric Prince, I think Raz is, how you say, boned XD
“or” for who I like better
Niraen is literally my baby but I adore Raz how could you make me choose????
“+” for how I ship them (platonic, familial, romantic, not at all)
Niraen and Raz are bestest friends and they love each other but not like that (y’know, cuz Niraen is a lesbian), if anything they are like siblings and Raz never ever let her live down the jail thing.Â
When Maggie tells Niraen she's pregnant (again), Niraen is not in the least surprised because ever since Darien came back, Maggie and him have been inseperable ... in the bedroom ... and other places ... and she has been expecting those news because SHE KNOWS WHAT AN AWFUL ALLOSEXUAL MAGGIE IS.
ASDFGHJKL; I MEAN YEAH PRETTY MUCH
you just know those two had snuck off somewhere private at every available opportunity because c’mon guys it’s been seven years, they’ve got some catching up to do XD
