Holy shit that ending is amazing. Kaku just became one of my fave characters instantly in this show. Have we seen aura personified like this before? Him recognizing Misumi as the future is dope because Misumi and Tsune are like younger versions of Kaku and Ryumon.

Bro never in a million years would I have expected Tonotsugu to apologize for being a disrespectful POS. But you do have to remember he’s a young impressionable kid with an evil father. Hopefully he realizes his dad used him as bait and turns against him.

It says so much about the quality the writing in this show that it’s able to have an entire episode of mind games between two military leaders and still have every single moment be engaging. Cannot wait to see what Misumi cooks up next week.

One of the most tense and creative depictions of a battle I’ve ever seen. Ryumon putting his life on the line and being willing to burn to death not only saved the people of Fukui, but created doubt as to Wajima’s leadership. Incredible 4D chess.
