Hey fellow campers!

Just want to remind everybody, there’s going to be a long maintenance on Tuesday the 13th - check your announcements in-game to see what the timeframe is for your locale.

I don’t think there’s been an official announcement, but it’s heavily rumored that we will be getting the Animal Dress-Up and Brake Tapper updates with this maintenance.

We haven’t received much information about the dress-up function, but from what we have been told and the screenshots we’ve been given, it looks like some (not all!) Hats, Hair Accessories, Glasses, and Shirts will be usable for dressing up your campers. It’s doubtful that Pants, Skirts, Shoes, and Socks will be usable given the standard wardrobes of most villagers. Dresses could go either way.

Brake Tapper is a “slot machine” style arcade game, managed by the OK Motors crew, that runs on Friend Powder. You can receive Friend Powder by watering a friend’s garden, completing timed goals, and participating in garden-based events. Brake Tapper awards you with “caps,” which can be traded in for items.

Recently, a “peekaboo” pic was released of what appears to be a crystal-themed event. No more information has been provided or datamined (but we’re kinda hoping it’s not another garden event).

Lastly, new villagers! Freya, Dotty, Fuchsia, Eugene, and Octavian will be making their appearance at the campgrounds sometime in the near future. Aside from the “sneak peek” pic and the names, no other information has been provided or datamined. We don’t know if these new villagers will bring a new “style” with them, but considering we got a batch of old styles in after the Rustic villagers were added, it’s more likely that these newcomers will be another mix of already-established styles. There will most likely be another Host The Most event to go along with their release, but what that might entail is a mystery.
