#nineteen eightyfour

To be honest. I didn't particularly like Winston, though I don't think that's integral to enjoying a book. If he were an actual person, he wouldn't be someone I could identify with strongly or someone I would want to be in the company of, but how much I could sympathize with the conflicts of the main characters surprised me and it got me pretty invested, even knowing there wasn't an optimistic ending. 

I feel like it's usually hard to communicate in words the feeling that nineteen eighty-four did at its end. At least for me. I feel like it's hard to get internal damage or stress across to a reader compared to physical damage
