People were truly fascinating, humans in particular. He could study their various expressions and reactions to situations for ages and never grow tired. The way he saw it, they were all there for his entertainment, playthings if he chose to make them so and they allowed themselves to be. It was easier than one might think; often all it required was a gentle nudge in the right direction.
Uta had decided to venture into the mall portion of the hotel even though there wasn't anything he particularly needed at that moment. He wondered into stores at random and though his unusually hued eyes skimmed over the products offered, what he was really looking for was someone interesting to observe, maybe even chat with if the mood struck.
In the last place he entered, he perked up on hearing a loud voice coming from the direction of the cash register. Someone didn't sound too happy and the cashier completely helpless. There were two options for Uta at that moment: intervene and spare the poor person or continue to sit back and watch. In the end the former won out. He was simply too inconsiderate to keep his nose out of others' business.
"If you don't mind my asking, exactly what has this cashier done to make you so upset?"
