what's it with you people and complimenting me when I should be giving YOU serotonin, evil little family.

Everyone gave me some really stunning advice for creating a tulpa from pre-existing media, so first I’d really like to thank everybody <3 it was really helpful, and while a lot of what happened this week was unexpected it generally went very well, and I’d like to give the advice i got a little bit of credit for that.

so the day started and i planned in advance that i’d do a forcing session in the evening. hika decided that he’d just leave us to it, sit out of it for a bit, cause he didn’t want to be in the way. even when i assured him that i wouldn’t be bothered, he stuck with it. so it was just me in the wonderland when i reached out.

the game he’s from (which i won’t mention by name in this post cause i dont want it to show up in searches, but if you want to know what it is feel free to message me! it’s a beautiful, brilliant game) has the player exist as a character separate from the main character, in a lot of really interesting ways, so i started from a position of “hey, we already know one another from the events of this game. let’s chat” and it worked out really well. i got an intelligent response less than half an hour into forcing.

i was expecting it to tale longer, since it took a few weeks to get a response from hika, but i’m not complaining. it’s also interesting to note how different this kid feels from hika; they’re completely different people and it’s easy to tell.

anyway we went to the wonderland for awhile. i gave the new kid a tour, and we found out that hika had prettied up the abandoned farmhouse to look a lot more welcoming. Instead of half-dead weeds surrounding it, there was just this big field of golden wheat. it was frankly beautiful, and i dont know when hika did it but he definitely did it as a nice gesture for the new kid.

predictably, the new kid loved it; he comes from a village surrounded by wheat, so it probably reminded him of home. he decided almost immediately that he was going to be taking over that house, and he’s spent the time since redecorating it and making it a nice place to live. so far he’s changed it into a little cottage, and he’s furnished most of it and fixed the holes in the roof, i think? hika helped him, but without making himself known. which is pretty silly.

i finally introduced them yesterday. they seem to get along, which i knew would happen but which im still glad did happen, since they’re sharing the wonderland now. it’s been a pretty relaxed time; not too much adjusting. and the new kid has already changed quite a bit from his canon self, too! for example:

in the game his gender is left ambiguous, but here he seems to be perfectly comfortable being referred to as male

in the game he’s a child, but here he’s about my age, which is a lot more comfortable i think than him still being a kid. i think at some point during the first conversation we had he said something about it being years since the events of the game?

he looks a little different? it’s hard to describe exactly how but he doesn’t always wear the same outfit, and he’s obviously getting the hang of shifting his form a little bit

he’s still getting the hang of other tulpa magic stuff, like hika’s tricks of getting me to go to sleep, or being able to consciously view things from my eyes, but it’s only a matter of time, i think. it’s only been a few days and he’s already progressed further than i expected. before much longer he’ll be able to say hello himself!
