stupid   tyler.    stupid   dog.    her   mind   can't   make   sense   out   of   her   uninvited   and   yet,    surprisingly   delicate   thoughts    –    and   that’s   something   she   does   not   fancy :    caroline   forbes   likes   to   be   IN   CONTROL.    to   dissect   every   fragment   of   materia,    to   scrutinize   all   elements,    to   cut   open   and   spit   out   every   single   sentiment   she   has   ever   had.    or,    at   last,    suppress   it.    stupid   heart.

she   wouldn’t   normally   fraternize   with   an   immortal,    cruel   &   heartless   creature,    but   her   anger   and   lack   of   domination   screams   in   her   brain,    loud   and   clear.    she   glances   at   the   empty   glasses   and   the   bottles   filled   with   distilled   beverages.         ❝     should   we   drink   to   that?     ❞

“You used to be better at this, my love.”  Aurora told him, an air of amusement lingering over her as she looked to him. After all, that’s what it had been, hadn’t it?  Aurora had long since reconciled herself to the idea that their love had been a farce, that she had meant nothing to him.  He’d never come after he, had never questioned her sudden change of heart.  And there had been those of so convincing mutterings of Lucien and Tristan throughout the centuries, only too eager to point out that they alone were capable of loving her.  But now he attempted to play this game with her, to rely on those feelings which she’d held for him.  Really, he should have been more concerned with the game that she was playing with him.  “Is there a particular reason that you seek to occupy my entire day, Niklaus?  Not that I mind the attention, but it is rather a thousand years overdue.”
