I had posted these once before on my Homebrewed IInd Legion's RP blog when I was still running it (sometimes I think to reboot it lol). However, I've added a few new main Legionnaires to the group and also made a reference for my Primarch!
All of these (except for the artwork of Valerian, that's was made by me) were created using Chapter Generator!
Leon's sidekick and second tourmarches was naturally a younger, hotter, richer, and distinctly stupider version of himself
of all the people in a medieval army to be tormented by the awful questions of faith and justice and the morality of war, the quartermaster is probably one of the funnier options
Niketas’s marriage was arranged without his knowledge by his generals, meaning his wife could have basically any personality since compatibility doesn’t enter into it, and I think “woman who is temperamentally a Male Protagonist” is a really strong option

in a nutshell Eustathios takes God very, very seriously, he just doesn’t think God takes him very seriously
thinking about how, when he got to the army camp, Niketas would probably have had to deal with whatever estate his brother had left... Leon wasn't personally very wealthy (his fat annual bag of gold from Constantinople mostly went to maintaining the army) so presumably most of his staff and equipment were just reassigned somewhere else within the organization when he died, long before Niketas arrived
but some of it was his personal property, and what could he do with that? do you have any idea how much overland shipping cost back then??
I absolutely love hearing about all your Byzantine OCs but Eustathios is by far the funniest to me. Man was about to become Muhammad and invent Islam but Gabriel went “…actually wait, never mind”.
Islam was pretty well established by the time Eustathios (almost) had his revelation, the religion he could have invented would have been Islam 2 (Letter-Opener of the Prophets) and probably named after the Syriac word for "chilling"
