Ms. Duarte isnât exactly a reassuring presence, as far as Sunâs concerned. Technicians in general tend to make him a little anxious (what doesnât), and her other job is even worse. At the same time, someone responsible for making everything perfect is exactly what they need right now. Whateverâs wrong with their sleepy-time mode, the Daycare Attendant canât just ignore it, as much as theyâve already tried.
âMs. Duarte, oh Ms. Dua-arte--!â Sun calls, spotting her from across the Atriumâs ground floor. He picks his way carefully around long tables and around chairs that are still haphazardly scattered about from the dayâs patrons. The Pizzaplex hasnât been closed long enough for clean-up crews to put everything back in place yet; Sun left the Daycare the moment the last child had been picked up and sent off with a hug, determined not to put this conversation off any longer. He does his best not to let the mess distract him from his goal, although he canât help but pause here and there to right upended chairs and tuck them neatly into place. Someone could trip, after all!
âI-- Iâm so happy youâre here! I reallyreallyreally need to talk to you. ...do you... have time? For me? Right now?â The animatronic sways from side to side, trying to look both less concerned than he feels and as serious as the situation warrants-- neither of which translate particularly well through his fixed smile.
âItâs very important, I promise! I would never waste your time. Never!â
âItâs just that we, at the Daycare, have a little-- problem.â
@nihilreginâ !
