Rin knew she'd regret reading those creepypasta. She always did, telling herself she wasn't scared only to wind up staring at the ceiling for hours as visions of horrible monsters danced in the shadows of the tree outside her window. So she delayed the moment of finally going to bed for a sleepless night, curled up in a large comforter on the couch with a cup of tea clasped in her hands, the dim light of the television washing over her.

A small scream bubbled up in her throat at the sudden knocking at her door, but she rushed to smother it. After all, Len was already asleep, and she didn't want to wake him. So, instead, she looked through the peephole, unsure of what she would find ...

And shocked at what she saw, she threw open the door without a second thought.

"Len!" What was meant as a scream came out only as a shocked whisper. It simply couldn't be. The boy wrapped in bandages and covered in dirt couldn't be her brother, her brother was safe, her brother was in bed and he wasn't this ... this zombie! It was impossible, because Len was not dead.

"Len, is this some sort of joke? What happened to you?" She peered into his face. It looked like Len, but ... Was he older, somehow? Maybe she had mistaken whoever this was for her brother.
