Neonites

An ancient long lived Alien race, though their planet of origin have fallen to myth their people remain.

In their prime they were a reclusive people that traveled among the universe in a huge motherhship. The Neonites were tasked by their ancestors to rejuvenate planets that fell to ruin due to nature, war and the like.

When they did this, they rarely ran into living beings, thus their work and how it was done remained largely unknown. Until they came across earth.

When the Neonites arrived to their war torn planet, they found living inhabitants. Humans had survived and stowed away in insular cities built to ward off the remaining radiation. Originally they were met to leave these cities after the air cleared, but somewhere along the way that ideal was lost.
