Dulwich Picture Gallery. Such a rainy Good Friday so after doing some chores we headed to our beloved Dulwich Picture Gallery to see their David Milne exhibition. As ever Dulwich are opening our eyes to an artist who is hardly known in the UK, a Canadian artist working from the early 20th century into the 1930's. We both thoroughly enjoyed the exhibition. David Milne had such an interesting style, he used such unique colour palettes. The works really took some looking at both close up and from afar. Wonderful! I bought the book of course so I shall read further with great interest. Well done yet again Dulwich. A wonderful exhibition.

Big Fish. My lovely Sis and have 3 musicals in the diary before Xmas. First up last week was Big Fish starring Kelsey Grammer. I had no expectations as I didn't know the story at all. But what a lovely show. Beautiful songs, great singing and acting and very clever staging. I loved it!!! I laughed lots and cried lots too! We also had the joy of seeing the BSL signer who was truly wonderful. What a talent to sign and act a whole show. I'll say it again, nothing can beat a night out at a musical in my view!

Rachel Whiteread. Popped along to Tate Britain the other week to see the Rachel Whiteread. I've liked her work since she did the Turbine Hall piece many moons ago. I went to a talk by her at the time and thought she seemed very interesting and down to earth. So it was nice to see the Tate show. I think the works are quite hard to access and understand but none the less I enjoyed it. I really liked the works in resin. There seemed to be a live sound installation happening whilst we were there as people kept stepping too close to the works and setting the alarms off!

Flowers. Although it's still dark and Wintery I'm buying myself Spring flowers to bring a splash of colour to our home. One of my colleagues bought me some daffs so I've got Spring on my desk at work! Lovely!

Ingestre Pavilion. I'm behind on blogs and my Tumblr app is playing up which isn't helping. We spent a lovely relaxing New Year at yet another Landmark Trust (D, C, J&G & their 2 lovely dogs). This time Ingestre Pavilion in Staffs, an 18th century gem. To be honest we did very little other than sitting in front of the fire, reading, drinking, eating and laughing (oh and taking the dogs out). The perfect start to 2017! 2016 was rather up and down so let's see what 2017 brings us all.

Yoga. I'm so happy to be back at my yoga classes. I do a class at work on Monday lunchtimes with a super chap called Mike and then a Wednesday evening class with a lovely lady called Sybille. Both classes keep me sane and supple! And now I have a lovely new yoga bag by Gemma Correll. It's covered with all the crazy things that run through your head when you are trying to clear your mind and be zen! Hooray for yoga!

Street art 182. A fab piece of street art by my super talented niece. She's only 16! You can find it in Leake Street tunnel near Waterloo.
