I’m thinking from what we know Zander will more than likely sing. I don’t want to sound pessimistic but… I’m thinking it will be to a random girl that Zander is mesmerized by and asks the band to write a love song or something.
I'd think so too, but the kicker for me is that Max said this is the "first inkling of romance" on the show. Which seems like a weird statement considering that Nelson and Grace are like almost a "thing" at this point, really - that seems like plenty of romance right there, yeah? But the thing about Nelson and Grace is that they're pretty clearly the Beta Couple. Which means that Love Song is going to have the first clear hints of whatever the "main couple" might potentially be. Because otherwise why mention it? We've seen Zander go after random girls, we've seen Kacey and Stevie go after random guys. That's not a romance plotline, at least not an overarching one.
That being said it's totally possible that the love song IS to a random girl. I'd maybe even say likely, because I think serenading one of the main girls this early on would push the "inkling" a little farther than just an inkling. But if that DOES happen I imagine we'll see some signs of jealousy/sadness from one of the girls to kind of set up that storyline. Something akin to an iSpeed Date moment, possibly, where it's obvious to the viewers but not the characters. (And I feel like all of Lulu's comments, all her "hmm, interesting" whenever people bring up Zevie and her mention about "the relationship [their] characters have" are pointing at it being Stevie, but we don't KNOW yet so I guess we'll see.)
