[text] and then she said I drew a line on her forehead with my cum and whispered âSimbaâ
[Text]: Well at least it wasnât the Abraham Lincoln, that shitâs disgusting.Â
[text] I woke up this morning with 3 phone numbers, a red Chinese New Year envelope with cash in it, and a winning scratcher all stuffed in my bra. Iâd say it was a pretty successful Thursday night.
[text] Weâll get to the phones, the envelope and the scratcher in a second, I swear.[text] First, I want to know why you were wearing a bra.
"Donât look at me like that."
âWeâre in Los Angeles and youâre in the hospital with a messed up face and a broken hand. I think Iâm entitled to look at you the way I want to,â Eric said, his head resting against the wall. âAnd, youâre a drugs dealer,â he hissed, a little quieter than what heâd said before because the door was still open.
âYeah and youâre an alcoholic who doesnât remember how he ended up in LA in the first place,â Nick shot back with one eyebrow raised. Eric shook his head and then rushed his hand through his hair, sighing as he did so. âFair enough,â he replied as he walked over to the chair that was standing next to Nickâs hospital bed.
Itâd be the understatement of the century to say that Eric had been confused when heâd woken up on the beach two days ago, shirtless, shoeless and without memory of what had happened the past night. And to be honest, he also didnât know why he hadnât just called his mother, or Serena, or Tom, or Chuck.. But somehow, heâd felt as if Nick would give him the least trouble for it. And indeed, Nick said heâd fly over to come and get Eric. At first, Eric had said that he didnât need him to come over, that he just needed to look up when thereâd be a flight back, but Nick had almost insisted that heâd come pick him up. Now, Eric knew, of course, that it was so that he could âtry some new stuffâ, but that ânew stuffâ had gotten Nick in the hospital.
âWeâre so screwed,â Eric said as he scratched his neck and looked up at Nick in the bed. âRelax, Van der Woodsen, weâll be back in Manhattan by tonight, and no one will ever have to know.â Nick seemed far too relaxed with all of this, even though it was him whoâd gotten into a fistfight with some 250 pound big, six feet four tall gangster-like street guy. Nick was lucky it was only his face and his hand that needed fixing. Lucky to be alive, even. âTheyâre going to send the hospital bill to New York, Nick, and then your dad will see it, and itâll all come out,â Eric said, still extremely nervous. âJesus Eric, slow down, no one will know anything back home. My dad doesnât care as long as I keep things a secret and he definitely wouldnât even come close to figuring out you were involved, so just shut up,â Nick said sternly right before one of the nurses entered. âSo, big boy, howâs the face?â she asked when she came closer to Nick. Eric shot him one last glance to say he was obviously still not convinced they wouldnât get into more trouble for this than they already were, but stayed quiet as the nurse checked up on Nick one last time before heâd be released from the hospital so that they could go home.
"You'll regret this."
Eric rolled his eyes. âI donât care, give it to me,â he said, holding his hands out for the drugs.Â
Eric had always been appalled by drugs, and at one point in time heâd even sworn that he would never use. âBut then again, who hadnât vowed that? Besides, desperate times call for desperate measures.
Everyone around him who used drugs always seemed to get into a good mood when they used, and that was exactly what Eric needed. After Serena had told their mom about him, Lily had, instead of sending him to the Ostroff again, thrown out all bottles of alcohol, and she was checking him for hidden flasks or anything similar every free minute.
No, alcohol was too dangerous right now. Heâd get caught. But he needed something, anything that would make him forget. Anything to stop his hands from shaking, his head from aching, his mind from wandering.
"Nick, I gave you the money, now give me the drugs," he demanded with a stern look. Nick looked at him a little longer, but then gave them anyway. "Thanks," Eric said. "And, you know; not a word against anyone. I paid you more than what the price is, so Iâm counting on your secrecy.
