Nick Holder - Shadows (!K7 Records [K7R024], 2001)

LOCATION: The Holder manor. TIME: Seven-thirty in le evening on Friday, October 9th. 

Every once in a while, Dean caved to the requests of his mother and little sister. Only every once in a while, it should be noted. Ever since his display of rebellion a mere decade ago, Dean had been adamant about spending the least amount of time with his family as possible. Namely, he didn’t want to subject himself to the scolding eyes of his father, the town mayor.. and unfortunately, that included his elder brother, considering he was, in Dean’s eyes at least, daddy’s little bitch robot. Less family time denoted less problems for Dean, and for someone who readily wished to avoid being pushed to the edge, that was a dream. This night, however, was the ‘once in a while’, where Rose begged and he, ultimately, caved. It didn’t make him feel any less uncomfortable, or solid with the decision he’d made.. particularly now as their father walks in, making eyes with everyone first, reserving the disappointed expression for his second son. Dean merely stared at him, feeling a cold chill run down his spine; unnerved, but he wouldn’t show it. He refused to give his father any ammunition; and with a taut expression, he shifts his gaze over to his mother.. “It’s so nice that you came tonight, my darling Deanie,” he noted the brief look of warning she gave Jonathan, then. 

       “Well, I did have plans.. but someone convinced me otherwise,” his gaze deadpans over to Rose, clenching his jaw somewhat, finding it extremely difficult to hold back the petty comments reeling in his mind.
