Guys, yesterday at work, this little old lady called me, 'sir' without properly looking up at me while I was putting cutlery on her table, and then she startled when she saw the name on my name badge. Tried apologising. But I told her it was fine, I preferred being called sir. And guess what. She made a point to call me sir every time I had to go to their table. Her husband said, 'just ignore her' (jokingly) and she was all, 'no, no, I've got permission'. Dude, it was the cutest thing. Made my day.
Actual conversation with coworker. (With a little context)
Me: *chatting with customer while making her drink about a drink I just made for another customer.*
Me: here you go ma’am have a nice day *as I pass her her two iced lattes*
Customer: thank you *puts her two drinks in a drink carrier and leaves.
Coworker: did she just use a carrier for two drinks.
Me: yeah
(This is something that annoys both of us. Especially since most people who do this seem perfectly capable of just using both hands. Like they don’t have a cane or something)
Coworker: *sigh* she seemed nice before that.
Me: yeah. *remembers seeing motion of her putting something in tip jar out of the corner of my eye as I made bed drink.* well I’m pretty sure she tipped.
Coworker: oh okay. *cheeks tip jar* holy shit that’s a $10
Me: wait what? Wow! Okay! *i turn towards the door.* take all the carriers.
Coworker: our opinion on her went from okay to ughh, to oh, to great.
Me: yeah.
GRUMPY POST ABOUT RETAIL WORKERS.
Today I bought a new smartphone (for my mom, with her) and the seller was unbearably incompetent. The model I asked for was on the flyer, on special offer. Yet the retail worker - and her department colleagues - didn’t know which was the right one in the showcase, the brand nor the specifics 😨
They phoned warehouse dude and eventually I managed the get my phone. Sorry guys, I felt the urge to inform their manager [insert evil laugh].
It turned out they were busier chatting and planning an outdoor weekend instead of, you know, do actual working…
God, it's so nice to say," I'm autistic," and not get a brief look of pity. Kudos to you, elderly grandmother of an autistic boy, I won't forget your kindness and I'll be actually happy to help.

I wasn't looking forward to doing my 11 am to 8pm shift, and I was asked to work front counter/dinning room. I believe this was left by the nice lady who brought her three children in but i found this note on their table after they left. It made my day. I hope the rest of you guys out there have a good day too, :)
